YMCA Level 1 Award in Body Image and the Relationship to Wellbeing
This qualification will help the learner understand and appreciate the concept of body image and explore positive lifestyle choices. We will work through and understand the influences of body image, understand ways of building confidence and much more!
YMCA Level 1 Award in Fitness and Physical Activity
This qualification is aimed at learners taking their first step towards a full Level 2 qualification in fitness.
Learners will cover: the basic structure function of the human body, the basic principles of assisting in leading an exercise session and much more!
YMCA Level 1 Award in Introduction to Lifestyle Management
This qualification provides learners with an understanding of how to manage their own lifestyle with a view to making improvements in health and wellbeing.
Learners will cover: lifestyle choices and identifying positive changes to improve their own health and wellbeing, personal development, personal skills, abilities, behaviours and much more!

YMCA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Group Exercise to Music (Freestyle)
With this qualification you will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to enable you to professionally prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes as a Level 2 Group Exercise instructor.
This qualification is mapped directly to: The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) professional standard for a Core Group Exercise Instructor and The Register of Exercise Professionals National Occupational Standards for Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (Exercise to Music).
YMCA Level 2 Award in Community Activation
This innovative qualification, the first of its kind in the UK active leisure sector, has been designed to address government priorities around improving the health of the nation. It does this by facilitating increased levels of physical activity in sedentary populations using a community based approach.
Learners will cover: how to profile and establish the needs of a target community, how to identify the opportunities for physical activity in their community, engaging individuals and groups in physical activity, coaching and supporting change, preparing, delivering and evaluating physical activity, leading a physical activity session and much more!

This workshop will cover a range of topics including, an understanding of the term support & supervision, evaluating the benefits of good support & supervision, identifying the skills needed to give positive support & supervision and much more!
Volunteer Mentor – Workshop
This workshop will cover a range of topics including, the meaning of ‘mentor’, the difference between mentoring & befriending, identifying the client’s needs and the expected outcomes, developing strategies for dealing with any difficulties, practised goal setting techniques and much more!
Planning & Running an Event – Workshop
This workshop will cover a range of topics including, the different types of events organisations run, considering the objectives and the reasons for staging the event, identifying the skills needed to run an event, marketing & publicity, how to deal with issues, evaluations and much more!
